Peugeot 406 start problem

W reg 406, has always been a great machine. Car starts ok at first, runs about great, but when I have ran about for a while, then turn off, it will not start untill it has sat for around half an hour. Tried removing air filter, no change, turns over good and fast (diesel). Checked fuel to each injector and ok, had green flag out to help me, but it started ok when he tried it. Never had a problem with this great car before, so stummped as to what is going on.
Help!!! I love this car.

Probably best bet and cheapest in the long run would be to get a diagnostic scan and see what shows up . Crankshaft sensor ?
