Car: Peugeot 309
Variant: 1.3 petrol
Model Year: 1990
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
well I am baffled my 309 won't start after 2 weeks of sitting whilst on holiday. I'm getting a spark and she's turning over but won't fire. Its that old it has got a non-electrical pump and I've tried disconnecting various fuel lines to see if there is furl coming through and not had any squirt out I have had a some come through to the carb but only once or twice. she has petrol as I went a got a jerry can and slung that in to make sure.

HHHEEELLLLPPP please I'm stuck

cheers Jamie

Might be pump needing primed / drawing air or needing replaced if diaphrams inside knacked . Could try sucking up , but watch you dont get a mouthful of petrol . Can also try putting fuel into carb and if it fires up it might draw fuel up through pump .Just be careful you dont get a backfire / blowback on carb and it ignites .
