Peugeot 308 power steering

I was pulling out of a supermarket and all of a sudden the steering felt heavy when it is usually light, i have checked the steering fluid and its fine, there is deffintly some power assistance, but not as much as usual. Any ideas?

check the power steering belt is not damaged or slipping and also check the power steering load sensor
