Peugeot 308 308 sw heated rear screen not working

Car: Peugeot 308
Variant: 1.6 SW Diesel
Model Year: 2008
Recently purchased a 2008 308 SW 1.6 diesel but the heated rear window isn't working.
The power light comes on when pushed, checked fuse and the wing mirrors heat up so there is power. Has anyone come across this and know what to do?

I would check the wiring at top of tailgate in rubber sheath for any breaks or damage . You would think any relay would be o.k if switch lighting up and mirrors heat up .

Hi, thanks for your help again. Having tried a meter there does not seem to be any power to the rear screen, but unable to locate earth connection. Do you have any further ideas please? Even the Haynes manual does not refer to the heated rear screen.

Checked the wiring ? Also when you are checking the rear screen demist - defrost can only operate when the engine is running.
