Peugeot 307 headlights keep blowing

Car: Peugeot 307
Variant: 1.6 SW SE HDI 110
Model Year: 2005
Categories: Leaks & Noises
THE HEADLIGHS LAST ABOUT A MONTH THEN ONE BLOWS.
I CHANGED THE BREAK LIGHT BULB BEFORE THIS STARTED BECAUSE THAT HAD GONE.
I MADE SURE I PUT IT BACK ON PROPLY.
WOULD THIS CAUSE MY HEADLIGHTS TO BLOW?

Check alternator output , if it is over charging it can blow bulbs . Don't know why changing brake light bulb would cause this fault but if in doubt fit another bulb .

if it is the alternator over charging what is the remedy?

Replacement alternator .But might not be that .To test alternator is simple 2 min job .If that is ok , then have to look further for fault .

Obvious question, but must be asked: Are you ensuring you don't touch the glass surface of the lamp while replacing it? The smallest amount of our greasy, fat oils deposited from a partial fingerprint is enough to ruin the most expensive lamp. Never, ever touch the glass!

Forgive stating the obvious but some need to know!
