have just changed comm unit,and now car wont start none of the controls work on comm unit.

Pretty sure Comms units are coded to the vehicle,
Comms unit and key must be matched so if you just bought a S/H comms unit without the key you need the key from the car the coms unit came from.

sounds like it could be the wrong comm unit but make sure the small grey connector is in properly.It doesn't need coding to the vehicle
