Peugeot 307 cutting out

My car cuts out when I stop or the acceleration drops its not all the time and can happen first thing in a morning or even after driving for a time with no probs it can suddenly start cutting out. It starts fitst time always. Any ideas ?

I'm thinking sticky exhaust gas recirculation valve,
but that's a guess.
