Hi,
was driving the other day and plugged in a phone charger to 12v jack beside handbrake. Must have shorted something out as there was a burning smell coming from the phone charger the car died and I have no ignition power, no dash lights etc. wipers, interior lights and all outside lights seem to be working fine so I have power and the battery is ok. Ive checked every fuse in fuse box and also every fuse in the engine fuse box but still no joy, any ideas guys?

I'd get it plugged into diagnostics and see if the BCM and ECU can communicate.
I know that's not much help for you but without knowing if either system is even powered up anything would be a guess.
