Peugeot 307 electrical faults

Car: Peugeot 307
Variant: 2.0 HDI Rapier
Model Year: 2003
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
My car has several, possibly related, electrical faults.

1) When I'm driving along the horn will make a very short, sharp beep and both indicators flash once at the same time. (This happens four or five times a day)

2) The car makes three warning beeps but with no warning lights on the display. (This happens once or twice a day)

3) The airbag-off warning lights came on the display and a beeping noise started. The airbag switch was set to "on" and the lights didn't come back when I restarted the car. (This has happened once).

4) The oil-getting-low animation comes on when I turn the ignition, even though I check my oil every other month and it's always full and regularly changed.

All instrument related concerns I would start fault tracing from the instrument panel and follow the wiring back to fuse box where possible check for chaffed wiring and check earths on this circuit.

Peugeot electrics are designed to keep the driver amused. On a 406, the petrol gauge used to glide slowly back to empty and stay there for about half the journey causing the driver to have a coronary if they were not aware of the fault. Provided nothing is shorting (previous answer) I guess you could spend a fair amount of money finding out what is wrong and then getting another fault soon after.
