Peugeot 307 snow and sport indecator flash and gear indecator sho dashed and mesage on the multi function display say automatic gear fault

First thing I test is the battery/alternator system,I've had these exhibit this warning light when the box was fine,last winter one on the books had a persistant lamp lighting up and a drop charge showed up the battery as being past it,though it did start fine.new battery and the lamp was out,Peugeot global test later and no codes shown.not saying yours is the same but not all faults are clear cut.
