Peugeot 307 trip computer problem

hi guys having a problem with the trip computer on dashboard....after about 30 mins driving the display starts to glow oranage and then starts loosing lettering and numbers?? iv tried one or two new display units and have the same problem the three bulbs in the back have been replaced but one of the bulbs is always a lot brighter than the other two...should they be the same brightnes??? could it be a bad earth if so how do i repair it?????? please help its driving me nuts

Check if your printed circuit has a voltage rectifier fitted to stabilize the voltage ,possibly faulty,to check the earth ,if you can identify the wire you can run a strinnger,which is basically a cable onto a good earth from the suspected faulty earth.
