Peugeot 307 loss of power while drving over 30mph

Car: Peugeot 307
Variant: 1.6 Turbo Diesal
Model Year: 2006
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
whilst driving back on the motorway my car was slowing down. RAC came out and told me it was my EGR valve. Had my local mechanic take a look and he has told me that I need a new Turbo. This is not a cheap part!!!

Anybody got any other ideas? The acr drives ok upto 30MPH but is very slow on the accelarator and will definately not do anymore then 40 MPH. I don't want to be driving it around if it will cause more damage!

Best bet would to get it scanned , rather than guess .

Peugeot turbos are controled by vaccum solenoids operated by the cars ecu,so if you have a fault with the v accum pump,or any of the solenoids then no turbo!
Pay Peugeot for the hours diagnostic, get a full code print out then you can take it wherever you want for repair.
