I just my top shock absorber mount and coil springs changed. Now I hear a rattling sound from the front of my car when driving, especially when driving on rough roads.

it could be that the front link rod has been damaged when replacing the strut as these are quite often rusty and difficult to remove and may be the cause of the rattle if nothing is found to be loose

I had a similar noise, but without replacing any suspension/chassis parts.
Bumpy roads (and we have a lot on the IOW!) caused a loud clonking noise, almost a scraping noise like metal on metal, apparently coming more from the bonnet than, as I first thought, the front suspension.
After progressively but unsuccessfully oiling or greasing everything I could find around the bonnet etc., I have eventually traced it to the bonnet hinge bolts! I loosened each of the bolts (one at a time) by a turn or two, and retightened them hard. Result: no more clonking/squeaking/creaking afte a year of irritation. Try it.
