Peugeot 306 coil pack

Car: Peugeot 306
Variant: 1.4 meridian, manual, petrol
Model Year: 2000
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
hi, my daughter has a peugeot 306 1.4 meridian (2000), manual, petrol, she has been having problems with it cutting out and starting. She took it for a diagnostics test (sorry i dont know the fault codes) but she was told that she needed a new coil pack, when we went to buy a coil pack we were asked which one we needed because there was 5 different ones. Could any one tell us how or where we find out which coil pack is needed for her car. Any help is greatly appreciated, thankyou.

on the coil pack there should be a part number a manufacturer on the coil pack ie girling/bosch these sort of thing you should be looking for but the part number will be more than helpful for the shop that you are getting you parts from

sometimes the colour of the multiplug on the coil pack is enough to identify it

for a 306 like yours the parts people should be able to work out which one it is i have never known of 5 different ones for a 306 sounds like they dont know what there on about, you will either have the coil pack mounted on the end of the cylinder head or you will have a ignition coil rail fitted directly on top of the spark plugs
