Peugeot 306 central locking draining battery

whenever i use the central locking on my car i can hear a 'ticking' noise. Dont know if this is usual or not, but when i go to to unlock the car, theres enough battery to unlock it but not to start the engine
anyone know how to fix this?

Get your battery load tested , if any weak cells wont hold a charge and drain overnight .

do you have remote central locking and an alarm?

Central locking unit in driver's door will be at fault. Quick fix is to pull fuse for central locking and repair or replace unit at some stage.
Mine did the same.
