There is a noice from steering rack / CV joint for odometer reading 40 thousand km car.

Worn driveshaft c/v joint is usually a heavy clicking noise , especially on full lock when laden.

Yes, but I am told that the CV joints and Steering Rack comes as one unit and I have to replace them both and it will cost more than USD 3000/-, and this is at 40,000 km mileage.

The driveshafts and c/v joints are not part of the steering rack in anyway . You do not need to replace a steering rack for a worn driveshaft c/v joint . There is a c/v joint on the steering column where it joins the rack and may be what you need . Put your vehicle details on here or else where and see if this applies for the part
