I have 2017 208 gti and I’ve only had sinc Aug last year and I’ve had an issue since I got it where when I start the engine it says it’s -40 outside and at the same time it says tyre pressure system monitoring fault. It’s had all of the sensors replaced/outside temp gauge and still having an issue. I’ve read on forums of people having a similar issue but I can’t seem to get a clear picture of how to sort this.
Anyone experienced this problem that can help? I’ve taken it to the garage but they all seem to be scratching their heads!

Have you had the Peugeot dealership scan it for fault codes ?

Yeah I did and they said that no codes should up on the diagnostics. I’m in the process under the warranty of getting it booked in with another garage but I don’t have high hopes. It seems so bizarre.

Are the faults always there and were there when the diagnostics scan for faults codes was carried out ? or does it come and go ?

It can come and go when I turn the engine off and on that’s the annoying thing. It’s got a lot worse lately and every time I turn the engine on it says it’s at least -32 outside but not always does it say there is a fault with the tyre pressure.

SOMETIMES a low car battery can cause this on some cars , especially if not used a lot and / or for short journeys . When then driven and the alternator puts more power into the battery again , it clears . If that was the case , either charging the battery or replacing if needed often resolves the fault but not always

Did you ever find what was the cause? I’ve got the exact same problem with mine , same year as yours too

I had the sensor replaced again was ok for couple weeks then it started happening. I’ve saw online that it could actually be the connector I’m the door and not the sensor. Someone said they had the connector cleaned/lubricated 2 months ago and not had any more issues. I’m booked back into the garage now to check this out so fingers crossed.

Hope it works out , can often be with sensors . Please update if this resolves the problem or not

Car looks like it has been sorted. Was at the garage today and basically only 60% voltage was getting to the gauge in the wing mirror and that was causing the intermittent fault. It was a loose connection in the door and wires needed tightened so cost me £54 as needed to take door panel off.
