Peugeot 207 high pitch whistle and rattling

Hi,
I have noticed a high pitch whistling coming from the front of the car, I have just bought the car and am getting it looked at the garage have said take it to a local garage and get them to call them with the problem.
Is this a common problem with 207's as this is the first Peugeot I have owned and have never heard anything like it before on previous cars.
Also there is a lot of rattling inside the car and does the winder wipers rattle when going over un even roads.

Many possible causes i.e alternator etc. Wait and see what garage finds on checking .
