Peugeot 207 intermitant fault with dashboard lights not working

The dashboard lights randomly keep going off and the speedometer, rev counter and petrol gauge don't work. I have taken it to my local garage and they haven't been able to identify the fault as everything seemed to work when they checked it. Any ideas please?
