Peugeot 207 overheating warning light malfunction

Warning light comes on & fan cuts in for no reason as engine not overheating.Fan continues to run until battery has been drained.This happens intermittently ie hasn't happened for 7 weeks but just has again

Suggest you check the fan relay and CTS

Probably a fault with the electric thermostat...will require new coolant housing

as soon as engine starts fan kicks in tried new thermostat censor but still the same have taken out fan censor on radiator housing looks in pretty bad condition could this be part of problem also fitted new thermostat?
