Car: Peugeot 207
Model Year: 2010
Categories: Gearbox & Clutch
Only done 28000 miles and had it for six months clutch has broken took it back to arnold clark who wanted £600 to fix it I only really drive about 20 miles a day surely this shouldn't happen with this amount of milage and surely arnold clark customer service should be been better than this

Have heard and read of problems with the clutch on that car and a lot of owners having the same fault .Peugeot were aware of the fault and were sympathetic at one time towards replacing under warranty. If the clutch has broken as you say due to a part failure , rather than worn out , may help your case even though out of warranty .If bought from A Clark and serviced by them , thought they would maybe make a contribution to the cost at the least , maybe parts or labour as a goodwill gesture .But not surprised with their stance .Could contact Peugeot customer care direct and see their views on matter .There are also clutch centres in Glasgow that probably will do it a lot cheaper if you phone about for an estimate .Cant vouch for any now , whether good or bad , lost touch with the good ones I knew but plenty in the Yellow pages usually . Also you dont know if previous owner/s were hard on clutch before you got it .
