Peugeot 206 engine struggling when accelerating

Car: Peugeot 206
Variant: 1.6 HDi Quicksilver Diesel
Model Year: 2005
Categories: Leaks & Noises
Hi
I have recently bought a second hand Peugeot 206. I have noticed that when accelerating at speed the engine seems to struggle - it jolts as if there is a turbo kicking in, but this seems to happen at different speeds and with varying levels of accelleration.
It is the first time I have owned a diesel car, so this may be normal, but I'd like to make sure any potential problems are identified within the 3 month waranty period.
If anyone has any ideas I'd be really grateful!

This could be so many things and would be quite a big job to try find the exact fault.Best bet is try find someone local that will scan the vehicle for faults so you can get the car back in before the warranty expires. As you mentioned its as if the turbo is kicking in.These have been known for the turbocharger boost pressure sensor to cause the fault you describe but then again they have also been known for the high pressure fuel pump to fail so you really need to get it scanned to be able to find the exact fault.
