Peugeot 206 steering wheel shudders when pulling away slightly faster in 1st/2nd gear?

Car: Peugeot 206
Variant: 2.0 HDI turbo diesel
Model Year: 2002
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
all said in title really, i find it happens more in the rain or on wet roads, but if i pull away slightly faster than really slowly the steering wheel (and i assume wheels? ) shudder alot, so much so that i wouldnt want anyone else driving the car as they wouldnt be used to it and it could easily cause an accident!

If as bad as you say , better get it checked out .Could be wear in steering , suspension ,engine / gearbox mountings etc. etc.

check for play in front suspension arms and balljoints, check for play in steering rack and track rod ends, make sure wheels tight and could even swap wheels front to rear

could even be clutch judder or brake judder
