Peugeot 206 weird noises with clutch

Car: Peugeot 206
Variant: manual
Model Year: 2003
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
My 206 is making weird noises espcially when i use my clutch, dont seem to have any problems changing the gear, but the noises are sometimes squeaky, sometimes like gushing noises, and the engine also seems to be rather noisy. Can someone tell me if whether I need a new clutch, or something else maybe wrong, an if so anyone know how much this will cost me to get it repaired.

cFrom what you say , could be noisy clutch bearing . If so , best to replace clutch assembly .If you call into any fast fit centre / garage , they should confirm if clutch or not.

You dont say what engine in car , price will vary . If it's needing replaced , phone about for prices as sometimes there can be quite a difference . Could check yellow pages and see if any clutch centres in area .

If you have to get clutch replaced , the garage will notify you if flywheel needing replaced but very unlikely if it's just a noisy clutch bearing .The clutch bearing pushes against clutch pressure plate .

Well guess what, i went to take my car out today, didnt get far, started the car tried to drive off an the clutch has gone, car not going anywhere now. Being sunday today and bank holiday tomorrow i cant contact a garage, but i did call out recovery and he suspects its the "Thrush Bearing" which is related to the clutch. Can you confirm this.

will be a problem with the thrust bearing that comes in a clutch kit you will not require a flywheel the only thing extra you may need is a sleeve that the thrust bearing operates on this is a common fault with renaults, peugeots etc the sleeve is about £10 the bearing fails and can sometimes damage this part, you do not require a new gear box as some people have been told by the rogue garages it is a removeable part.
