Peugeot 206 engine cutting out while doing 70mph

Car: Peugeot 206
Variant: 06cc 2.00
Model Year: 2000

Hi

Can any one give me any pointers as what happened to my car recently.

I was going down a dual carriageway in the fast lane... doing just over the legal limit (make your own assumptions) and my engine made a clicking noise and just cut out!

Luckily I was able to pull into the slow lane and as my speed dropped wacked I the hazzards on and pulled over onto edge of carriageway. The car restarted immediately and off I went again.

I've taken car into the garage today to see what they have to say.

have the garage plug there diagnostics equipement in to the car and it will tell them which sensor is down and can then be rectified and get you motoring again and if you havnt had it done recently have the car serviced as this could even be related
