Peugeot 206 206 won't start when warm

Car: Peugeot 206
Variant: 1.6 Sport
Model Year: 2006
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Previously posted as a 207 problem but realised it's the 206 that's playing up.

After driving for a while I park the car and leave it to do some shopping, whatever. When I come back, 10 or 30 mins later, the car won't start. Solenoid clicks then nothing, then a sound like some sort of air damper/valve closing when ignition key returned to resting position. Any ideas? Known problem?

Sorry to be repetitive but 206 might well be different from 207.

I'm not technically minded so i don't know what the problem is but I do know what the solution is. This has been happening to my car for about 18 months but now I can solve it every time. Thought it was an electronic problem due to ongoing probs with doors clicking constantly when driving and radio interference but have now found the solution. When you stop after a car journey and car is warm, park on a slight incline, with front of car facing downhill as it were. When it won't start, turn engine key on, put car into fourth gear, take off hand brake and let the car roll downhill slightly. You'll hear a 'dunk'. Clearly something gets stuck and doing this unstucks it! ( told you i'm not technically minded!) and the car will then start. As my long journey is always to Waitrose I began to assume Waitrose was jinxed!! That's women drivers for you. But sometimes we know more than the fellas!
