Peugeot 206 crank position sensor help

Hi i have a 1.4 petrol peugeot 206 it randamly started to just cut out a few weeks ago it would restart the next day but not strait away after been picked up by the aa the first time he suggested a new coil pack have baught and fitted but i went driveing yesterday and it was fine had a cup of tea at friends and it wouldnt start again even after been left over night aa again towed me bck and suggested a new crank position sensor ive got one now but where is it on the engin (a pic would be great)?? google search has thrown up nothing also is this guna fix the problem?? thanks in advance for any help

Where is the crankshaft sensor on a Peugeot 206?

Answer.

2003 model: Between the gearbox and engine there is a lightweight plastic cover (black). It faces out to the front of the car and looks like the standard sealing 3 pin connector is just "parked" there. Have fun!
