Peugeot 206 engine cuts out while driving

Car: Peugeot 206
Variant: 2.0 HDI
Model Year: 1999
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
While i am driving along at about 70mph normaly going up a hill the engine will all of a sudden cut out with no warning. There are no tail tail signs come up on the dash board and it does not happen every time. This problem has been going on for a while. I thought i fixed it by replacing the air filter only for it to happen about 2 months later. It has been read by a test machine and comes up with no fault. To re start all i have to do is stop and turn the key off and on again and its fine will not for some reason restart on the move. Any iders would be helpful.

My Fiest was doing this too and my garage said that they couldnt find a fault with it, however, after researching on the net, i found that it was the EGR valve, it might be worth asking them to check this, some times the valve just needs cleaning as it can get stuck either open or closed and there for the gas isnt circulated correctly to the exhaust system causing the car to seem like it has stalled. Mine was completely broken, a new valve fixed that issue though. I hope that this helps
