Peugeot 206 car not starting

Car: Peugeot 206
Variant: 1.4 HDI FEVER
Model Year: 2004
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
I have been having a few problems with my car not starting or enginge cutting out after a few minutes.

I went out yesterday and my car started first time and didn't stop and I thought the problem had been fixed, I then went out and the car will not start there is no noise from engine as if it was trying to start, the car is dead, I have charged battery and there is still nothing.

I think it could be the starter or maybe a problem with the ignition.

Is there anyway to narrow this down and does any1 know if a car can be started without going through the starter

It has been quite cold lately so it is possible that your battery is not quite up to job or the starter has become lazy, diesels need to crank over fast to start, also get someone qualified to check earth connections and other high load wiring, peugeots, citroens and renaults are the worst wired up cars on the market so don't replace anything until you are sure you need to spend the money.
