hi I have a problem with the 206 the stop light keeps flashing and the water gauge goes straight to overheating. I have had the head skimmed cambelt changed and wiring has been checked I have been told it could be the ecu any help would be appreciated.

If it goes straight to overheating I would change the temp transmitter sensor.

to be sure the temp sensor is faulty remove the wire connected to the temp sensor and ignition on engine not running and ptu the connection against the engine to make a connection and the gauge should go straight up to hot this will point at the sensor being faulty unlikely to be a ecu fault
