Peugeot 206 loud vibration after idling for 5-10 mins

when my car sits ticking over for around 5-10 minutes something starts vibrating really bad and if i switch off ignition the vibration continues for a while.its loud. if i drive when its doing this it will stop after a minute or so.

Sounds like radiator cooling fan cutting in .
