hi my car is in limp mode ,took it to peugeot and they are saying there is no communication between the gear box and the car when they plug it it on the diagnostics.so it needs a new gearbox at £2500 + vat the car is only worth half that's also took it to a gearbox specialist they too said no communication, but would bye the car of me for £200 ? it is like new and only done 40.000,can anyone tell me why there might not be any any communication ,if I put the car into 3rd and pull of and get to 30 miles an hour then put it into drive it drives great and changes gear up and down ,but wont pull of in drive very good only when I pull of in 3rd (in the low gear ) thanks

no comunication on the CAN system could be a damaged wire or any CAN controller not operating correctly even unrelated to the problem eg abs controller so dont just fit a new box in it.
first inspect the loomb for damage, the CAN wires are twisted togther 2 wires.any corroision/ water ingress etc also check if any accessorys have been fitted eg audio ,tow bar, phone kit etc.
