Peugeot 206 overheating

engine management light and warning beeper comes on right from startup and engine overheats until "stop car"warning light comes on.

206 petrol engines are prone to head gasket failiure that would be the first thing to have checked , check for water loss , oil in the water expansion tank

check cooling fan to make sure it is working also coolant thermistor may be at fault
