what have the garage told you, i suspect they are thinking because its over heating the cooling fan is at fault which i believe is controlled by the ecu, i would get a second opinion have the basics been done first ie cylinder head gasket test, thermostat etc

Cooling fan is controlled by a thermo temp switch on the side of the radiator. Try replacing that first...

the cooling fans are ecu controlled. check the relays /wiring next to the fan behind the black cover. the wiring can corrode here

i think the cooling fan relays are behind the front grill so that means you have to take off the front bumper to get to them .sometimes the wires break or corrode around that area

Peugeot 206 LX, petrol, auto. Now ECU of the car had been repaired and working. The problem am facing with the car is the temperature. Normal temperature is between 0 -90 then fan start working but on this car it will get red (120 degree) before fan start working. When the garage tested it with own temp gauge its normal temperature.
