Peugeot 206 clutch noise plz help

i,m new to this so plz bear with me... i have a 206, not used much and kept in garage, 29,000 miles on clock.. went to push clutch in changing down gears from 2nd to 1st.. loud springing noise came from pedal and clutch went flat to floor.. this has happened twice in one day,, had to pump clutch to get it working again,, can someone please tell me whats wrong..

i think the clutch is actuated hydraulically on your car which would suggest you probably have a fault with the clutch master cylinder

when this 1st happened the car was still moving forward even tho it was out of gear,, then it stalled on me,, i thought it may have been the clutch on its way out????

the tube the clutch bearing runs on can become detached giving you poor cluch operation SOMETIMES common fault with higher milage cars but yours could have become detached due to corroision box out to check im afraid

anyone know how much it would cost to change master cylinder if its that, thats the problem and what else i,d need, also if it,s the slave cylinder thats leaking,, how much, and what else would i need..Garage is trying to quote me £200.. also anyone know of a decent garage that don,t try rip women drivers off,, thanx for any help!!!
