Outside temp indicator faulty - temp varies and has recorded as high as 84C. Flat tyre indicated, checked all tyres - okay. Internal air blower’s literally blowing hot and cold intermittently. Engine running fine. Stop start light stays on especially when outside temp indicator goes over 30C. At a complete loss.

Stop / start wont operate if battery voltage low , worth checking that first when cold and prior to starting . MIGHT help with other faults also , if not , may still be covered by warranty or possible software update

The stop start has never been great, despite driving 200 miles to Edinburgh and back, it rarely works. The dealers have checked and said they couldn’t find any problem with it. I to think there could be a software problem. Thanks for the response.

Hard to diagnose when the fault doesn't show when they test it . When you drive it to the dealers , the alternator would boost the battery before they get it . With that kind of fault I used to like keeping the car in overnight and then testing in the morning for faults

As you have already eluded, could be a software issue affecting the various sensors - multiple issues. Hopefully a diagnostics test should find the cause. Car still under warranty, thankfully. Booked into local dealership. Thanks again

Hope they get to the root of the fault and you get it resolved . Would be grateful if you could update the forum on the outcome .

As promised,
In respect of my original post - faulty sensor / erroneous warnings. Diagnostics now completed by dealer. Software issue with some of the problems- reversing sensor, tyre pressure sensor and exterior temp gauge showing unusually high readings. It’s worth noting that high exterior temp readings can affect the operation of the interior climate control, e.g. blowing cold air, no heating unless set to max. Exterior temp sensor replaced - faulty. The tech who looked at my car informed me, the diagnostics is not the panacea to all these kinds of problems. It helps narrow the ‘search’ down via the fault codes. However, isolating individual faults, depending on the nature can be quite laborious. One or two of the erroneous sensor readings did reset themselves before I got into the dealers. My advice to anyone with similar issues is get seen by someone who knows what they are doing. Diagnostics are specific to the make of the car. Luckily car still under warranty. Otherwise the diagnostics alone would have been around £90, not including labour and fitting of replacement part. Hope this helps.

Thank you for update , glad you got it resolved , may help others
P.s
£90 is relatively cheap for a diagnostic check nowadays with some dealerships
