Peugeot 2008 occasional problem with gearbox sticking and warning light

From time to time automatic gearbox light comes on then won't shift into 4th gear. When I turn the engine off then on the warning light goes off.

You could either get it scanned with suitable equipment for any stored fault codes or alternatively change the gearbox oil which often cures various " glitches "
