Peugeot 107 intermittent brake failure

Car: Peugeot 107
Model Year: 2009
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
Emergency stops and braking sharply involve a long uncontrolled slide. No fault found at garage. Scary in the lanes!

First thing I'd check is the brake compensator.
different loads activate a valve that changes the brake distribution,
and if the lever or shuttle valve siezes,
as often happens,
You'll get pretty much what you describe.
