can anyone tell me how much a garage would take for a new clutch and to fit it too. i have a peugeot 106, 1.4. the clutch has to come up quite high to get the bite and im not used to driving with the clutch so high as its my first car and used to the one i use on my driving lessons, which was my instructors. is this normal for an older car or should i replace it, any advice well appreciated

Its possible that your clutch is fine, and after a while you will get used to it, when I first passed my test I was very particular about my driving position etc. give it time and it won't botheryou. prob about 300 - 350 for a new clutch.

it does sound like the clutch is ready but have it checked out by a garage and let them give you there opinion but buy the clutch yourself if it does need replacing should cost around £45 and then pay the garage to replace it which will be around £100 and no more because they are not difficult to do 2hrs tops job done
