Peugeot 1007 heavy steering acceleration and braking

Car: Peugeot 1007
Variant: 1.6 auto sport
Model Year: 2000
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
I recently had a problem with this car originally it was just the acceleration that was a problem. It felt like the brakes were on just a little bit whenever I accelerated. So I took it to the garage and they thought it might be the coil pack and so they replaced it.

I picked it up and thought yay it feels better but still not 100% normal. Then I realised it was even bumper than normal so I called them and they said to test it a bit more on roads I was familiar with as it might be a misshapen wheel. I got it home ok but it wasnt normal it didn't corner normally, and it was definitely bumpier. I then tried to get to work the next day and the original problem came back.

Only this time it was acceleration at first then it started affecting the steering and braking too. So I have left it with the garage but they don't seem sure as to what is actually wrong and I have already paid £262 on it and its now worse. The garage now think it might be clutch slippage is this likely?

Any ideas?

£262 for a coil pack to be replaced is a crazy price , in my opinion .Dont know how it would affect steering and brakes or make it bumpier .From what they have suggested in your post , and what you have said , I would get another garage .

get them to check the underbonnet fuse box for water ingress.also the connectors and the connectors to the ecu.Make sure they let everything shut down for fifteen minutes and disconnect the battery before disconnecting
