Nissan Tiida tiida ignition problem

Car: Nissan Tiida
Model Year: 2006
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
I have a Nissan Tiida 2006 ST-L automatic that has recently developed an annoying problem on start up. On random intermittent starting the car will not fire. The starter motor turns over fine so it is not a battery problem. I believe I have identified that it is something electrical as I can get the car to start by turning off the ignition, waiting about 10 seconds and then trying again. If I do not turn the ignition completely off it will not start. I flattened the battery once doing this. Also it seems as though if i turn the ignition off and on straight away it will not start either. I have had the vehicle serviced and they could not find any logging of problems in the computer. Of course when i have the vehicle at the garage they cannot get it to fail.
does anyone know of this or similar problems in a Tiida and how to fix the problem?

Don't know much about that car ,so can't help . Seems to be a common fault from reading these reports

2006 Nissan Tiida review from Australia and New Zealand
"Hard to start"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I also have had a starting problem, it cranks but doesn't start. Had it back to Nissan for the past 15 months, still not fixed. Can anyone help? Obviously Nissan can't.

BE AWARE!! I had a similar problem with my car 2 days ago and 15 minutes after it was parked I was given an emergency call by the neighbors telling me that my car was on fire. Apparently this was an electrical problem similar to that previously described, what do you think might have happend??
thanks
