Nissan Serena the oil level is dropping although there is no sign of an oil leak.

Car: Nissan Serena
Variant: 2.0 litre S-Hybrid
Model Year: 2012
Categories: Engine & Drivetrain
The car is 10 years old. The Nissan dealer had advised me that the oil level is dropping but the oil is not leaking. They say they don't know the cause of it. Their solution to the problem is to change the engine, which seems rather drastic.

You should monitor the oil usage yourself . If it's not leaking oil , it must be burning oil but should show signs of this , usually blue smoke ..There would have to be other factors for them to justify replacing the engine
