Try bleeding cooling system in case of an air lock .

I have bled system several times and also have used vacuum fill temp hand will reach operating temperature but pipe from stat to heater matrix cold

System bled again today and no traces of air in any pipes or radiators so did vacuum fill and still no heat from stat to matrix

cooling system block correct with no problem with it when engine revs are around 1800 rpm water flows through matrix but not lower puts water out header tank and cap has been replaced have replaced stat again but no change i am confused as i have not got a clue and nissan are no help either i wonder could the new water pump be faulty

Sounds like cyl. head / gasket faulty and pressurising the cooling system when running . This should show if a block test carried out . Normally if faulty you may feel the rad hoses harden till pressure released .Always possible faulty water pump but very unusual .

Not sure of the set up on that year / vehicle but if fitted , may be a faulty heater control valve .

no heater control valve fitted and block tested ok so still not resolved

Take both the inlet and outlet hoses to matrix and join together with a piece of copper pipe to check flow . If o.k , must be heater matrix partially blocked
