Nissan Micra timing chain noise when starting from cold

Car: Nissan Micra
Variant: 1.2 Petrol with 60000 Miles on the C lock
Model Year: 2011
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
When you start the Micrs from cold there is a pronounced rattle / noise from it for 2 to 3 Minutes and then it runs as it should i.e. much quieter. If the Car is warm and you start it the 2 / 3 Minute rattle is not present.

I am told the Timing Chain and Tensioner should be changed and the noise is probably as a result of the incorrect Oil being used in the Car. I was of the impression that the Timing Chain would rattle continously if it was in trouble. Has anyone come accross this problem and cured it without doing the T Chain. If so what is the cure. Nissan have refused Warranty on it saying the incorrect Oil must have been used.

Common fault on that car .Usually frequent oil changes helps .How Nissan can say the wrong oil has been used without proving it beats me .
