check the connector at the back of the instrument pod but suspect the unit is faulty.

Common faults
Failing/sticky petrol gauge.
Single or both indicators not illuminating.
Speedo/rev counter gauges start too high.
Complete power failure.


Usually plenty on e-bay if you dont want to send it away for repair .Or local scrapyard .

Only problem when fitting a second hand one is the mileage transfers so best to get one near to your mileage

I believe you can have the mileage altered. Not sure on the legality of it though

Mileage would be irrelevant on a car of that year . Old mot's will give a rough record if needed . Plenty of mobile mileage correction services if you were that bothered .Nothing illegal about unless you claim it's genuine or falsify if you ever sell it .
