hi all just got this shogun and had a problem with crankshaft pully sorted that it was woodruff key put it back together started up no bother but had a scraping noise found it was the sensor plate on back of pully got that straight and tried to start it it fires up but soon as i let key return it cuts out if i keep key turned to engage the starter it runs could this be the crankshaft sensor damaged as the plate was catching it any help would be good maybe someone has had same problem

is the engine running when you keep the key turned or is the starter just cranking?could be faulty ignition switch

As you suggest , may well be the crankshaft sensor damaged or the gap altered / wrong .

hi sorted it starts now with new crankshaft sensor ticked over perfect until it got warmed up switched it off and then started it again and back to the same as it was before when it is warned up and start it it tries to stall a few times then it will idle ok this only happens when it is warm any ideas cheers

hi forgot to say its a pajero not a shogun its a import
