Mitsubishi Outlander high revs 11000 when cold drops to around 80000 when warm

not sure if this is normal for this vehicle only just purchased high revs when cold droping to normal once warm dealer said its becuse of direct injection not convinced never had that on diesel engine before

I assume you mean 800 rpm when warm (otherwise you are in trouble...lol)
To be honest, 800 sounds ok when warm, but not sure of the cold rpm on these vehicles.
You could get it scanned to see if any fault codes show up. I know they did have some idle issues on some models.
