Mitsubishi L200 slipping out of drive position randomly

Variant: Warrior 2.5 turbo

While the vehicle is in drive and driving as normal sometimes the gear leaver slips out of Drive and starts to rev . Any reason why?

Could quite a few things , some possible causes . Gear selector switch , the bushing on gear shifter or see here ,
