Contact them about status of vehicle and reason of delay .

The build quality on those vehicles is poor and they have a poor approach to warranty repairs ,to top that they are pulling out of the uk market

Well this is brilliant
Just Phoned Mitsubishi after being told they would phone me back(still waiting)
It is a sensor in the exhaust and is on backorder
Can't tell me when I will get it BACK
Then offer a small car as a replacement

Would definetly take the replacement car ,This could put more pressure on them to get your issue fixed, sounds like it’s something simple, they just don’t have it ,trying times these in the motor trade

As indicated in post above , getting parts and even some cars is very hard at the moment due to Covid . In similar circumstances , when I had similar problem in different dealerships with a relatively small part like this on backorder , I have taken one of another new car in stock to get the customer back on the road again . Especially with such a new vehicle ( recently purchased) and low mileage . Good business to retain customer and keep happy .

Still waiting for part for my 700 mile on the clock L200
Mitsubishi can't tell me when I will get the part
It is ridiculous as next week they will have the had the vehicle longer than me.
What can I do?

That really is a shocking way you are been treated . Have you tried bypassing your dealership and contacting Mitsubishi customer services direct ? .Especially for such a small and common part and to have a new car off the road that amount of time , disgraceful .

I have tried Mitsubishi direct
FOBBED off by them and it is the dealership
Dealership can't tell me when the part will be in but on the agreement for the hire car it said Febuary
Many Thanks Mitsubishi
