Mitsubishi L200 dpf

Car: Mitsubishi L200
Variant: 2.5
Model Year: 2015
Categories: Engine & Drivetrain
recently purchased a brand new Mitsubishi l200 barbarian to date I have done 12000 miles mostly motorway driving I know this is a bit excessive for the 4 months I have had it but it does include a 4000 mile journey to Spain and back. I have noticed in the last few weeks when driving between 60 and 70 mph I suddenly loose power for about 15 sec and there is a rattle of the engine the dealership have hade it back and said there is nothing wrong with it its just the dpf regenerating and this is normal (dose not feel normal) it has happened 5 times in 3 weeks twice in 1 day. This is my 2nd l200 I bought 1 in 2006 from new and never had this kind of problem and that had done 192000 miles when I sold it . Wonder if you can shed any light on this problem.
cheers

Re gen twice in 1 day?
Hmm,
What exactly is happening here I'm not sure,
Document everything,
when you took it back to the dealers,
what they stated,
in writing.
time and date,
just in case!
The only other thing I can think off is try the L200 owners website,
could be somebody has a similar problem.

I have it in writing from dealers that this is normal made sure I got something from them. the rattle I was told was a fuel or diesel but not sure what that means.

There is a situation where a "knock" can occur,
strangely enough it's known as "diesel Knock"
once heard never forgotten,
think a small ball bearing getting into the combustion chamber and belting around hitting the piston/head.
Chills my blood just remembering that sound!
Various causes from incorrect injection timing to excess fuel.
Or over doing the starter fluid on a bad starting engine.
I can't think how a new engine could suffer from this knock.
As stated try the guys at the L200 owners site.
you may not be alone.
